Headwaters Tech Hub envisions a vibrant, tech-ready Montana where innovation drives a thriving and resilient tech economy, expanding access to good-paying jobs and improving quality of life across the state.
Our Mission
We help Montana build technologies that matter - globally and locally. Anchored in smart optical sensing systems and their applications in key sectors for Montana, we work to drive innovation, spur entrepreneurship, and ensure equitable access to high-quality jobs across our state.
What We Do
Catalyzing Innovation
Bringing technology to market is challenging. Nothing can replace the creativity and hard work of dedicated innovators, but we can make the road to market impact smoother by providing shared technology infrastructure as a community resource.
Workforce Development
A strong tech ecosystem means more and better tech jobs for engineers, technicians, operators, and more. We work to ensure Montanans are prepared to compete for and thrive in those jobs, spreading the benefits of a robust tech economy across the state.
Capital Access & Entrepreneurship
It takes more than a great idea to build a company. It takes capital, and skilled entrepreneurs who can turn an idea into a successful business. We work to increase investment into our regional economy, ensuring innovators have the support they need to succeed.
People & Place
At the end of the day, the purpose of our work is to make life better for our families, our neighbors, and our communities. We are intentional in our efforts to stay connected to people and place, and to advocate for the communities we serve.
